Developing a healthy Whole-Foods Plant-Based lifestyle plan can be quite difficult especially if you have a very unforgiving grocery budget. But it is do-able. Use my “Plan, Shop, Prepare “ method. This is how I keep myself on track with my budget, meals and lifestyle. When just one is not utilize I can get off track.
PLAN YOUR MEALS, make a grocery lists and put recipes on 3 x 5 cards to carry with you when grocery shopping. I’ve found I save lots of money just by doing that. SHOP PREPARED with your grocery list or cards, pen and calculator. Budget for organics and fresh fruits and vegetables whenever possible. Break up your trips to the grocery store going once or twice (preferably) a week. PREPARE YOUR MEALS use your 3 x5 recipe cards to help prep your meals. Choose recipes with similar items for weekly prepping. Items like onions, bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, or garlic can be cut up and store in contains to be used for various meals. Be sure to include the snacks and drinks you’ll need. This will help cut down on the office vending machines or convenience store trips.
